just got started cc'ing
So I recently received my Crossbreed Supertuck (regular clips, no combat) and got started.
First I cc'ed just in my house for a few days to:
-progress from empty mag to loaded mag
-make sure the CBST felt physically comfortable enough
-gauge any potential printing under various shirts I wear regularly
-break in the CBST
-get used to putting the holster on and off
-get used to sitting on different furniture, getting up, etc
-get used to gauging a feel with the elbow (I want to always be able to feel its continuing presence)
-acclimate to the weight of having something like that on my side
-prove to myself that my current belt is sturdy enough
Then I wore it out of the house for the first time just to get my woman some cupcakes from the grocery store. I'm sweet like that. Being the first time out and about with it, I had that "all eyes on me" paranoid feeling that every human within 3 miles could see it.
Unfortunately my workplace explicitly forbids the presence of firearms, so a big portion of my life can't [for now at least] include cc'ing.
I wear it out and about so far only when I am 100% sure I am not going anywhere that would forbid it.

Get a good gunbelt ....standard belts wont cut it even with an IWB.
Here are two very good suppliers :

http://www.agcustomgunleather.com/
Best thing I did for carrying either IWB or OWB was get a good belt.
All the rest will come with time. I very rarely even realize I am carrying anymore.Fortuna audaces iuvat

Make sure you rotate out that ammo, from your carry magazines. Two reasons:
1 - hollow points can become mishapened, after being chambered numerous times. This could cause feeding problems.
2 - Perhaps more importantly, one cartridge company (Winchester I believe, but this holds for all if it's accurate) has delcared that chambering the same rounds numerous times can cause primer failures. Obviously, this could have horrible consequences. An officer involved shooting was the reason Winchester permformed the investigation and they found that after X number of chamberings, the primer can be damaged to the point of failure.
Be Safe!Honey, sell my guns for what they're worth and not what I told you I paid for them.

Definitely get yourself a gunbelt, you will be amazed at the diference it makes. I wear a Desantis belt myself. Also, when I first started carrying I was also worried about printing, now I have learned that no one is paying attention anyways. Even people who know that I am almost always packing usually don't know where it's at.

Crossbreed's belts are pretty darn good, too.
There is nothing wrong with starting slowly, and getting a feel for it. At first, I was paranoid and always found myself adjusting or checking the gun... now, I'm much more comfortable.

OP didn't say he was repeatedly loading and unloading the gun.
However, OP, if you are, then after a few chambering make sure you roate the ammo within the magazine. Rechamber the same round over and over can cause the bullet to set back further into the case than it should, resulting in a possible pressure spike when you fire the ammo, which coukd cause gun damage and/or personal injury. But if you leave the gun loaded, then no worries.
Most importantly, congrats on starting your new life. The more you carry the less you'll feel self-conscious about printing. Sadly, my work place also forbids firearms, and lately I've been spending more time here than at home.
