    Default LTCF=must conceal???

so i was told today by someone who i would hope knew they laws regarding open carry that if i have a LTCF that i MUST conceal it and cannot open carry. How can i explain it to him and not sound like a jerk, he is a older man and i dont want to come off bad. I dont personally know him and after tomorrow i prob wont see him again but id still like to give him correct info. Do you think giving him a pamphlet( i spelled that way wrong) is advisable?

    Pamphlets are always good.

Could also say....does having a drivers license mean you can no longer walk/ride a bike?

You spelled it right...and if you check in the Sticky posted by Headcase, there is a wealth of information in there, straight from Law Enforcement, that clarifies that PA is an "open carry" state. I am not a lawyer, but if you take some time and read through the sticky, you'll agree the law says you MAY ALSO carry concealed, IN ADDITION TO OPEN, by virtue of your having a LTCF.

I am not a lawyer, so read the above and draw your own conclusions. Good luck.

PS...the sticky by PA Patriot may be even more direct and to the tpoint.

How do you convince someone the sky is blue? Give him the facts, tell him you're right and if he doesn't want to listen, walk away

Easiest way I know of when someone tells me I'm wrong about something...

"Show me the law that makes Open Carry illegal" or "If you think it's illegal, call the police and we'll ask them"

    That will shut him up

i'd leave fuck head alone, you cant teach old dogs new tricks, get some new dogs, save the pamphlet for someone who is at least willing to learn something new.

tell him a cop told you that its legal and then you asked another because you thought the cop was.wrong and then you called a criminal.attorney and they pointed to the laws and explained it isn't illegal and you did some of your osn research and you wanted him to.know that the law must have changed since he read it.
