Out of state members

Just curious.....

I see a fair number of members here that list their homes as other states. How did they end up in a PA gun forum.

I would guess that some are folks that used to live in PA and some are thinking of moving to PA or moved here from out of state and just keep their old place listed.

Again, I am just curious, not being judgmental.

I live in PA, but I found this site from a random google search hen looking for info on a gun stock.

I had noticed a couple of the "out of staters" and figured either the same thing as vpnavy said or someone might have found the sight while researching PA laws regarding concealed carry if they were going to be passing through PA. Kind of like we might do if we were looking for specific information in order to pass through OH, WV, etc. but I doubt any other state has as good of a sight

Actually, I was searching the net on a Walther P22Q recommendation and this fantastic site pop'd up.

Pretty funny that everybody that has responded thus far is a PA resident.

I visit the forum daily because: A) I spent the first 27 years of my life in PA; and, B) I live about 900 yards from the PA/NJ border and as such a lot of my activity (esp gun activity) is directed to PA.

I am a PA resident an have been for about 3.5 years now. But I still feel tue to NJ where I grew up for 25+ years.

When people ask where I am for I still sometimes say NJ and then have to correct myself.

I was told about the site while shopping at ACE Hardware in Washington, PA. Liked the site and stayed.

I live about 10 miles north of the NY/PA border and have an LTCF, so I like to keep tabs on what is happening down here. Also, there are some rather fascinating encounter tales on the CC/OC boards.

I have a few family/friends from out out state that joined after telling them about PAFOA. Most feel this site is one of the best on the net.
