Outstanding!, I tip my hat to you both of you for your excellent demeanor.
I think the female LEO needs a little re-training on MPOTEC 09-201 on OC.
Probably when she left for a couple of minutes one of her fellow officers
did enlighten her. Again, Great exchange.FUNDAMENTALS

Great job. That was awesome. I only hope I would do as well if ever faced with the same. Why is it so hard for them to understand basic Rights and what is required of a citizen? Rep when I get home and on a wifi

Nicely done, you handled the situation quite well. I'm impressed with how calm you were even while the female officer was ranting.
I dislike the diamond commercials, give me something useful like guns, ammo or cookware.

Have some respect for the law, have some respect for the police SHOW YOUR PAPERS!!!
lol
Well done my friend! Get those 3 female officers some training STAT!
What authority does that officer have to tell you that you're not allowed to return to that property? UnrealLast edited by BimmerJon; April 14th, 2012 at 03:50 PM.

Re: Surrounded by Pittsburgh Police. Recorded.
"Yes, you are being detained" is where I would start the written complaint.
Detained because they don't know or more likely don't want to accept the law is not on!
Telling you "you do need a permit" then at the end they all chirp in by saying they get this all the time when the NRA are in town would suggest they knew all along that you were not breaking the law in any way shape or form.
What they expected to happen with TEN officers and a K-9 unit was intimidation, did not quite work out for them this time.
At no time did that encounter require so many officers and a K-9.
Had she simply said to you, "guys, let me call this in to verify how the law is written" and then given you the speil about maybe concealing to avoid worrying the sheeple, it would have all been over without drama.
But no, they have to show force, and excessive force at that, god forbid they admit to not knowing the law but simply request that you stand a minute or two while they get confirmation.
Well handled sir, nice one for remaining calm, and standing your ground firmly.
