Default "That's an awful lot of firepower...

...for a trip to Wawa," he said.

I chuckled. "It's not Wawa that concerns me - it's everything between here and the next destination." I stirred my coffee.
"Oh, I see. I'm usually right there with ya, with mine right here." He motioned to his right hip as he stirred his coffee as well.
    "What do you carry?"
    "A Glock in .45."
"Oh! I am planning on picking up a .45 myself."
    "Kimberrrrrr."
"I was thinking that, and I'm bouncing between that and a Taurus 1911."
    "Really?"
"Yeh. The Taurus might not be as nice but it's mil-spec, and I don't need anything super flashy."

We chatted a bit about the differences, wished each other a good night, and I drove away with my Ethiopian coffee.

How is the Ethiopian blend? Haven't tried it yet.

    Which Taurus? Blued? 2-tone? Stainless?

Wait, I'm confused, Viper. You had a positive OC encounter in/around Philly?!?!?!?!? I didn't realize such a thing was possible .

On a serious note, I am glad you had a good conversation and did not run into any trouble on your trip.

So how did Mr. Ethiopian Coffee work out back at your pad? What was he actually packing?

You're not far off. The story fell apart with the mention of 1911, mil-spec, and Taurus.

That is the not-as-funny first draft for "Open Carry- the Movie". Wait till you see samples of the really silly parts.

Interesting literary style, of the type that usually ends with torn bodices and heaving chests of the Fabio variety.

Or, would have made a cool Harry Chapin song, with the right melody.

No bad man in blue going to act like a goon...."
