Changing Counties
I know its prob on here somewhere, but i could not find it so please dont flame me guys.
The girl and I are crossing lines and moving into Lancaster County. We both have our LTCF's here in Berks now and mine is due for renewal at the end of this year.
What needs to be done, if anything, to get our LTCF's transfered now that we are moving into a different county ?
BTW getting out of Reading is the best thing to happen to me in awhile well since i met the girl i should sayAn Armed society is a polite one

Re: Changing Counties
Tag. I'm interested also---the wife and I are moving to a different county soon as well. Our LTCFs are not due for renewal for another 4 years or so.

Re: Changing Counties
Your LTCF is good until it expires (unless revoked) no matter which county issued it and no matter where you move to in PA.
You just renew in your new county when it is time.
You should notify the issuing sheriff, of your current LTCF, of your new address so that he may contact you if needed.

Here you go. This thread appears to have your answer.

Based on what Gunlawyer says in this thread, it appears that you do not have to inform the sheriff where you are moving, but it would be in your best interest to inform your current sheriffs office of your new address in case they need to send you any information. (ie. revocation of your license or a reminder that you need to get a new one)Last edited by internet troll; April 10th, 2012 at 11:17 AM.

Re: Changing Counties
I suppose if you wanted to get a new LTCF in your new county, the sheriff would oblige, but you would loose whatever time you have left on your current license and begin a new 5-year period with your new LTCF.
There is no requirement for you to do this though.
