traveling to lancaster Pa and hershey
My wife and I will be going there in the next week. We have florida no res and Delaware Permits. I understand the non-res florida permit will cover us i pa. I was wondering if anyone knows of any areas in lancaster or Chocolate world ( the factory) that are not firearm friendly. I typically oc and my wife conceals. I dont really give a damn about concealled since what they dont know wont hurt them. We plan on going to two restaurants one is called Good n plenty and the other is bird in hand. Anyone have any experience with them? I am hoping not to flip out some amish kid with a glock on my hip.
Thanks.

It's not the amish kids you have to worry about flipping out. It would be all the NJ transplants and tourists that you should be concerned about. The amish kids will leave you alone.

You shouldn't have any problem at Bird In Hand Family Restaurant. I spent an extended weekend at the hotel there in January, including several meals at their restaurant, and OC'd throughout my stay.

Bring an extra large duty belt because you might need to loose it up after both of those places.

Re: traveling to lancaster Pa and hershey
Well, right near your hotel, there's Walmart, TacoBell, RedLobster, McD's and the PSP Barracks. I wouldn't recommend eating at any of them. I think Your Place Pizza is still right down in that area, they used to be good, but I haven't been in one for quite a while. Isaac's is right up the road in Greenfield Industrial Park, they're good, but they don't deliver. There's some new sub shop open in there too, but I cannot recall the name, I just remember seeing their delivery car recently.
If you're into knives, you might want to check out the Country Knife store down on Route 340 past Intercourse. Lots of cool stuff in there. You're pretty much right smack dab in the middle of tourist central down there.
You might want to check out Wilbur Chocolate in Lititz while you're here, I like Wilbur Buds better than Hershey Kisses, and I know they do plant tours and such. Lemme know if you want to know anything else.Rules are written in the stone,

Re: traveling to lancaster Pa and hershey
Out by the outlets?
My tourist recommendations are
~ Lancaster Brewing Company - Decent food, delicious beer, if that's your thing. I'm enjoying some Double Chocolate Milk Stout as we speak.
~ Spyro Gyro - Hole in the wall. The best gyros and good food in general.
~ Lancaster Central Market - Open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Can get lunch, snacks and enjoy the place. Step next door to The Best Of Britain and pick up an English snack across the alley. An old Brit runs the place and always manages to get at least $40 from me whenever I go in there...
~ If your in town on a Friday afternoon, you can head down 272 past Willow Street and grab from ribs and fresh cut french fries from Nater's Taters and Big Dave's at 272 and Mt.Hope School Road.
I can't comment on OC but if you CC you will not have any problems.
~ Derek
