    Default Amb. Bolton Resigns

From the AP, via Yahoo News:

This is one of the guys I didn't want to see as collateral damage. He completely shut the door on IANSA this past summer, and is a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment.

I too have a bad feeling about Bolton's resignation. He was one of the good guys and with this new congress, who knows what we will get. Another small battle lost in the big war against our country and our way of life. This will continue...Mike45

We should all take a moment to thank Senator Chaffee (R-RI) for standing in the way of this nomination and Senator Joe "Lyin'" Biden (D-DE) for saying that Amb. Bolton, regardless of effectivness, was DOA in his committee. A pox on both thier houses. They should be very ashamed of what they've done. Amb. Bolton is the first UN Amb. that we've had in decades that was worth anything more than spit.

I may have read some negative and nefarious things about this man when he was appointed, however, all that washed away when he told the U.N. to f*off regarding their WorldWide Small Arms Ban or some other insanity like that.

Shady character or not, he truly stood up for our rights in that ocasion. Its a shame to see him go just out of fear of what might be installed next.

Amen to that, Diego. I love the fact that he sent IANSA packing instead of trying to make the US "fit in". This country is different and unique for many reasons, one of which is our long standing, Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms.

He was a hardass and I think that's what caused him trouble. That is exactly what we need in the UN. The UN is horribly ineffective at anything and we need someone in there that will beat the UN into shape.

I don't think it matters that though. The UN isn't one of this countries top priorities anyways. They are ineffective and undermine the US at every step of the way.

Chaffee needs to get that "R" away from his name.

The only problem there is that the Dems seem to feed at the UN trough in a major way and I have a bad feeling about 2008. If the Rs don't get their stuff together, we could see several UN programs made law in this country.

Kofi Annan gave his farewell speach today. He critized the US and nobody else. Also didn't mention to Oil for Food scandal. What a surpise.
