    Default AR Pistol

Ok, I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but before I build, I wanted to check with the experts. My next project/purchase is going to be making an AR pistol. If I purchase a 7" AR upper, and then buy a pistol grip AR lower and slap them together - this is a totally legal "pistol" and not a sbr correct ?
Anyone have a nice one they'de like to share a pic of ?
    Thanks!

as long as there was never a stock mounted on the lower, you are good to go.

Great, thanks. Yeah, I'm looking brand new 7" upper and brand new pistol grip lower. Thanks for the no forward grip tip too , not sure what else I'll be adding on as far as extra's, but I'll make sure not to add that. Yours looks great and very close to the vision for mine.

I may have seen this posted about before, but I understand you can't have a vertical foregrip, but could you have something the likes of a Magpul AFG?

Yes, the magpul afg is fine. There is a thread on arfcom with letters from the atf clarifying questions you're asking.

Just makr sure you don't ever add a stock without the tax stamp. Even if you remove it a second later, it's illegal. Once you have the tax stamp you can go pistol-rifle-pistol all you like.

Aside from that, enjoy! I'd love to get an AR pistol, but currently my newborn is sucking me dry. Not that I mind.
