I have a thing for three inch Smiths. I can't pass one up. To me, it is the perfect toting sized revolver. like Goldilocks, not too long, not too short. With the 65 you are stock with the fixed sights, but that may be what you want. Probably worth $300 to 400 depending on condition. Since it is a K frame .357, check the forcing cone area for any signs of cracking. I love my 3" 64 which is the same gun in .38.

i did hear about checking the cone. the price is definatly right on this gun. i am picking it up tomorrow if it all checks out. the fixed sights dont bother me, i will use to carry or a pack gun.

In my area I would expect to see one of those priced in the $450-500 range.
