Crap, Plan B - vote for Obama-Osama
Man, I've never been so PO'd at the Republican party.
Thompson should get the nomination regardless of these 'votes'. Many of which 'independent' voters can vote.. WTF... your not in our party but you get to pick the delegates?
I wouldn't vote for McCain even if he was running from his prison cell in Hanoi. He's taken away more rights than just about any liberal Dem.
So, when the First Tuesday after the First Monday in the month of November rolls around I'm punching in for Obama.
He has little clout to get things done, and he's not McCain or Clinton. Our only hope is to keep the Congress and let them put Obama in his place. If Obama picks Clinton as Vice Pres, I am not even going to vote in the presidential election.

If Obama recognizes that the Second Amendment protects a fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms, and that a ban on so-called "assault weapons" is unconstitutional, then I'd vote for him.
Otherwise, I'll probably vote Libertarian or write in Ron Paul.
I'd vote for Mickey Mouse as a write-in before I'd vote for Hillary or Giuliani.

People, please don't just stay home -- It makes it appear that they have more support than they really do.
Instead, write-in "none of the above", or vote for a 3rd party (e.g., Libertarian Party, Constitution Party), or write-in Fred Thompson or Ron Paul.Last edited by awkx; February 13th, 2008 at 08:07 PM.

To get elected in the People's Republic of Illinois, you have to support gun control. Obama's an astute politician. He knows that gun control is a losing stance in national politics. I'm hoping that he'll adopt a strong pro-2A stance as a Constitutional matter after the Supreme Court upholds the Second Amendment in DC v. Heller.

Re: Crap, Plan B - vote for Obama-Osama
To think that he will change is absurd. Obama is an incredibly liberal senator with incredibly liberal views. If elected, he is going to pursue gun-control to the fullest, and pursue "the greater good" (read: socialism) for all.
This is a guy who wants to ban transfers on all semi-automatic weapons, institute a nationwide ban on concealed carry, and legislate away your right to defend yourself without fear of punishment.
Hillary is bad, especially with her $100,000,000,000 health care plan, but I hate to tell you, Obama's plan would only cost $60,000,000,000.
"Look how much money we're saving"... Not if we weren't going to spend it in the first place, chief.
This guy is just as bad as Hillary. McCain is a little better, Huckabee is a LOT better.

If either of the Dems get in office and actually succeed in making such unconstitutional changes, getting them reversed would take decades, if not more. If you stay home, you are essentially voting for one of the Dems.
DON'T STAY HOME!!!!
Do your American obligation and vote...
