    Default Carry permit question

I have my carry permit for allegheny county, my question is that I've moved to a new place still in allegheny county. My carry permit has my old adress on it. Can I still carry or do I need to renew my permit to my new address?

Your License is still good and valid, and you may carry on it. There is no requirement in the statutes to renew over an address change. You may want to advise the Allegheny Sheriff's Dept of your new address. When your License is about to expire, maybe 60 days away, they will mail you a reminder to renew it.

My LTCF, from York County, does not have my address on it, does yours?

Corrected. Musta been thinking of my library card.

Just to add something - Its not a permit for your county, its a License for all of PA and our reciprocal states.

First I've heard of that, I wonder what other counties do that. I renewed this past Feb, and both the new and old most certainly have/had my address on it.

Yep -Address has been a requirement since Feb 2006 per Act 2005-66:

    (i) The name, address, date of birth, race, sex, citizenship, height, weight, color of hair, color of eyes and signature of the licensee.

When I moved over 20yrs ago , I simply informed Montco Sheriffs , who simply changed my address in their computer. Didn't get a new card though. They said when I get my renewal , that will have my new address.

Still had a hard time once during a traffic stop (DUI checkpoint) since my LTCF and D/L had different addresses.

When I moved from Wayne to Pike county I change my LTCF just for that reason. It was a pain in the ass to do but I figured I'd have less trouble in dealing with Pennsylvania's finest.
