Carry permit question
I have my carry permit for allegheny county, my question is that I've moved to a new place still in allegheny county. My carry permit has my old adress on it. Can I still carry or do I need to renew my permit to my new address?

Re: Carry permit question
Your License is still good and valid, and you may carry on it. There is no requirement in the statutes to renew over an address change. You may want to advise the Allegheny Sheriff's Dept of your new address. When your License is about to expire, maybe 60 days away, they will mail you a reminder to renew it.
My LTCF, from York County, does not have my address on it, does yours?
Corrected. Musta been thinking of my library card.

While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: Carry permit question
Just to add something - Its not a permit for your county, its a License for all of PA and our reciprocal states.

Yep -Address has been a requirement since Feb 2006 per Act 2005-66:

Re: Carry permit question
When I moved over 20yrs ago , I simply informed Montco Sheriffs , who simply changed my address in their computer. Didn't get a new card though. They said when I get my renewal , that will have my new address.
Still had a hard time once during a traffic stop (DUI checkpoint) since my LTCF and D/L had different addresses.I don't speak English , I talk American!
