ULTRA SONIC CLEANING (AR parts)
Anyone use a ultra sonic cleaner? In general how good does one work
Would it remove the carbon build up on AR parts with out having to use a scraper?

Re: ULTRA SONIC CLEANING (AR parts)
I use mine to clean really grungy brass cases, my Ruger P90 and MkIII auto pistol frames, and my O/U shotgun receiver. With the right cleaning solution, it works wonders. My personal favorite solution for gun parts is Ed's Red, and for the brass cleaning I use a citric acid solution followed by a water bath neutralizing step.

Simple Green works great for gun parts. I mix it with distilled water at 4:1 for normal cleaning alittle stronger for those gins that have been neglected.

There's no reason to try to remove carbon from AR parts. Uncle Sam lied to you.
And please don't scrape AR parts.
