.357 advice
I presently have a 4" Ruger Security Six, adjustable sights & square butt. I'm considering trading it for a 3" Speed Six .357 preferably with round butt grip. I like to shoot the 125gr HP in .357 and being able to use .38's in the gun. I can reload for both .357 & .38. Am I loosing much energy & velocity going to a 3" gun? I want something I can conceal better as much as carry as a field gun.

Re: .357 advice
4 to 3 inch isnt going to make a huge difference IMO. How do you shoot with the security six? If your able to shoot it accurately then going to a shorter barrel youll be fine. If not then youll have to practice a lot more to get as accurate as you should be with a carry gun. Good luck and enjoy

Here's a good website which shows velocity changes in different barrel lengths.
