    Default ammo advice

Recently joined a local club to use pistol range. The use of fmj ammo is not aloud, any suggestions of where or what brand ammo to buy at a reasonable price. (Herters got bad reviews) ? Shooting .380

I would try to confirm that rule.

And if you confirm it, find another club/range.

What he said, get a refund and find another place to shoot.

Are you sure they do not allow FMJ rifle rounds in an indoor range?
FMJ's out of a high power rifle can wreck havoc on a backstop.

I mean it's out there, but that's a joke if you have to buy lead.

Magtech makes new stuff, Ultramax and PCI make re-manufactured loads.

You might be hard pressed to find a shop carrying it, you are probably looking at a bulk buy on the internet.

Hell, maybe grind the tips off your FMJ's, that way it's a soft point...

Maybe they thought he had steel projectiles/jackets? Some people don't like those due to sparks, or simply due to not understanding them.

rlh30 Please let me know what range you are talking about as most if not an indoor range want you to use fmj ammo . if that is their regulation then you may want to look for FRANGIBLE Ammo.. jack
