    Default question about selling complete AR lower

    i checked the stickys and did not find anything.

    if i want to sell trade a complete ar lower that i had shipped as a stripped lower to an FFL, which i then completed, do i need to treat it as a pistol or a long arm in regards to a sale/transfer?

    As far as I understand, as long as the lower was sold/transferred/stamped for a rifle and not a pistol, you can sell/treat it as such.

    I could be wrong, but It is my understanding that a lower is a firearm whereas an assembled AR is a long arm.
