Indiana County IDPA

The Indiana County Bow and Gun Club hosts an IDPA competition the first Saturday of every month. This months match will be on 07 April 2012. Cost is $10 for ICBGC members and $15 for non-members. All are welcome! Registration begins at 9:00AM, shoot begins at 10:00AM.

This month, in addition to five standard IDPA stages, we will be offering a sixth bonus stage. The bonus stage will be a "Back-up Gun" or "Pocket Pistol" stage. The bonus stage is optional and there is no additional charge for this stage. Shooters will be limited to small, short-barrel pistols such as the Ruger LCP, or Smith and Wesson J-Frames. There are no restrictions on caliber!

Also, we are going to have a practice/orientation session on Friday 06 April 2012 from 5:00PM to 6:00PM. Anybody that wants to work on basic range commands and shooting procedures can come. There will be dry AND live fire practice. You must provide your own targets. New shooters are encouraged to attend.

Will you be joining us this month?

We upped the total round count for the match and have added in some more complex drills and scenarios. Last month was a mere warm-up...a "sneak-peak", if you will, of things to come.

I might be coming based on my work schedule. Do you know if they will be doing the NRA/DCM high power rifle matches this year also?

I believe so. I'm not 100% sure the time or day they will be. The club website isn't entirely up to date. They're still working on correcting the dates and contact information for some of the venues. The club has a meeting on the 2nd Sunday of each month. You're welcome to attend.
