springfield XDM 5.25 vs glock 34
Was going to go with the glock, glocks are so reliable, but the XDM looks so bad ass and shoot so good, and I can't believe everything that it comes with. I'm going with the XDM, but what are your thoughts on it!!!! I like them both but can only get one, lol, going to shoot idpa, not for caring.

Re: springfield XDM 5.25 vs glock 34
I love my Glocks, I have, shoot and carry my G19 regularly. Yesterday was my b-day, and for it I bought myself an XDM9; I am trying to get to the range after this cup of coffee but man this is a nice pistol. The trigger is lighter than my G19 but is prolly close to the G34=4.5lbs, the sights are easy to pick up and what's not to like about 19+1 of joy. I'm very happy with this purchase thus far and I think you will be happy with the XDM also. Happy hunting.

Re: springfield XDM 5.25 vs glock 34
I really didn't like old XD feel it fit too high in my hand and looked like it. The XDM on slight changes and this pistiol is awesome plus the 19+1 capacity. The re design makes this pistol rock, alot XD users say it rocked anyway.
I have 3 Glocks and to buty another design would mean buying accessories for that pistol, I might consider a XDM9 or 45 and use my universal stuff. Hold up the XDM comes with a holster, a cap, T-shirt and mag holders doesn't it. Problem solved.Last edited by Neko456; March 22nd, 2012 at 08:37 AM.

I do not believe this to be true. The XD/XDM is a striker fired pistol and would be in the SSP class, I'm not sure how it would be considered a SAO without an external safety or a hammer? But I could be wrong check the rule book before listening to us to be 100%.
I'm now off to shoot my XDM9...

Xd's are an ESP gun, glocks are Ssp or ESP if you mod it. For me the xd also seems big an clunky...almost felt like having a brick laying on top of a polymer frame. That said I know many people who love them. For me the g34 fit much better and already owning holsters/mags etc for multiple glocks made sense to stick with the platform. Chose what you like!

What makes the XD a ESP Gun and not in the same class as Glock
