Can a Municipality Prohibit Its Employees from Carrying at Work?
Are municipalities allowed to prohibit carrying by their employees (other than cops, obviously)? I understand that there are some restrictions as far as a borough hall that is also the police station with a holding cell. Can they prevent an employee from keeping, say, a hunting rifle in his/her vehicle's trunk? Of course, there's no need to even broach the subject if the gun's out of sight. But can they legally do anything about it?
