Need Help With something Simple
ok guys I may be laughed at or ridiculed for this question but can anyone instruct me or give me a link to instructions for properly cleaning and oiling this gun? and maybe a breakdown sheet of how to disassemble it and reassemble, The gun is a Taurus .357 Mag Snub with internal hammer. Any help would be great and thank you in advance.

Try the website. They should have the manual to it listed. Also try calling Taurus they should be able to send you a manual.

The cylinder is the big giant... cylinder that you load up when loading the revolver. The barrel is the long tube that the bullet travels down when fired.
Nope. That's it. You can clean the exterior too, but that's obvious. The rest of the internals should be fine unless you plan to put it into long-term storage.

Re: Need Help With something Simple
If you remove that bolt on your side plate in front of your trigger that should allow your cylinder to come off.. clean and lube the cylinder crane/yoke, then get a cleaning rod and run a bunch of patches (using hoppes or something similar) down the cylinder chambers and down the barrel followed by a few dry patches then run a couple patches with a bit of gun oil on..
Do not fully remove the side plate as there is no need for it really..
Thats what I do anyways.. you don't really have to remove the cylinder but if you do, make sure you get the right size screw driver so you don't make 'idiot marks' on the gun.Last edited by kbcobra26; March 20th, 2012 at 08:33 PM.
