Default Jolly's Piano Bar in Philly, CC friendly?

Anyone ever been there? Do they have metal detectors? Thanks.

Did you go to Jolly's? Anything to report?

I haven't yet been to Jolly's. But I go to bars in South Philly and Center City all the time and have never had a problem with CC. I have never seen metal detectors at a bar in Philly. Generally the only places that are a problem are clubs with bouncers, which aren't really my scene, or music venues like the Trocadero.

I'm going soon but I'm concerned about what's happening in the news lately with the hood marches and I do not want to be disarmed while in center city. I'll let you know.

I consider that wise. I was in the city Monday night and heard from an associate that there was marching in center city. I was armed as usual, but I still left the city for the evening via a different route away from the protesters.

The last time I was at Jolly's was 2 or 3 years ago, but it's a safe bet that they don't, like all other bars that serve food. All food serving places aren't going to want to make their place look unsafe or unfriendly. Even if they stop serving late at night, no pat down at any place that I've been to in the city (and I've been to A LOT).

Strip clubs, concert venues, and sporting arenas will either have metal detectors, pat down, or wand.

Well I went Saturday night and there was no security and I was able to cc my Sig and LCP with a couple spare mags. Expensive as hell though, $200 hotel, $25 parking, $10 cover charge, and $8 mixed drinks. I kept to water so I was the only sober one at 2:am. What a sight at 2:am in Center City lol. Haven't seen so many people shitface in my life since college. Very fortunate to have the 2A to protect me and my wife on our walk back to the hotel after we left. And we had an uneventful weekend in Philly.

If dueling pianos is your thing, a Jolly's recently opened in Morton, DELCO, PA. Definitely no pat-down or metal detectors at this burb location.
