Anyone know of a good epoxy for plastic that dries black?

I'm planning to mill off the fixed iron sites on my wife's CX4 storm and turn it into a flat top, but the sites are hollow. They will need to be filled in from the inside with some sort of epoxy before I mill them. What is a good, strong epoxy that will bond to the plastic and dry black? Most of it will be covered by the new top picatinny rail, but there will be a small section on either side of the rail that is visible, so I want it to look good. I'd rather not paint it if possible.

I was thinking something thinner than that would be better to avoid air pockets, but wasn't able to find anything.

At work we used to use a dye that we added to epoxy. I don't have the info on it though. If you have some clear already, you could try a drop or two of paint in it.

I did see some dye on Amazon that's made specifically for epoxy, but I just don't know anything about it. Does it look completely opaque when it dries, or can you tell that it is black dye added to clear epoxy?

Bring it over and let me have a look- I have a fine black powder that I often mix with Acraglas. It is black as the ace of spades.

Totally black, literally one drop per about a pint of epoxy. Like I said though, I don't remember the name. I'd take your neighbor up on his offer.

If not use Fusor plastic binder by Lord's Company. Any good body shop supply store will have it. Check out their product line. The metal binder they have is how most cars are repaired nowadays. No welding. All glue. You can get stuff that sets in 30sec all the way to a couple hrs.

Devcon You can driill it mill it tap it. aluminum is silver /light grey and the steel stuff is black, JB weld is black too

Just looked up Devcon, as it turns out they use this for modifying Glock grips, and it matches pretty well:

Anyway I'm gonna have CDI take care of it but I'll keep that in mind for future projects.

Most of the J-B Weld I've seen has been a sort of battleship gray, but I was going to offer that I think they also have a black. Dunno if it's black enough, though.
