    Default LTCF

I have a LTCF that was issued back in 2009 in Blair County. I moved to Pittsburgh and am changing my driver's license and all that over to Allegheny County. My LTCF doesn't expire until 2014. I know you can't renew until 60 days before they expire, but do I have to change it now? Or do I just wait until it is time to renew it and go through Allegheny County's process then?

Technically you don't have to do anything.

Reasonably, you can call the Sheriff of issue (Blair County) and tell them your new address.

You would probably want to advise the office that issued your LTCF anyway. They are supposed to send you a notice prior to expiration, but they'll send it to the address they have on file. The USPS forwards mail when you move for a year, after that they don't maintain a forwarding address. Which means you won't get a renewal notice if you don't update your address.

I moved two years ago, and called my sheriff's office. They told me that they would change it in the system, and update my address. That was all that needed done, according to the person I talked to.
