Re: Firearm Owners Against Crime...voting
here is a email from FOAC that I got.
Gave my father in law a gift membership at the friends of the NRA banquet (feb 9) when we were talking with Kim Stolfer at the event.
Discussion was about what as gun owners can we all do to fight for our rights, talking ain't enough, DIRECT ACTION IS REQUIRED.
He open his mouth about someone (else) has to do somthing to stop gun control, Kim shoved a membership application in his hand, I gave up the 10 bucks cash so he had no more excuses, not to do something to stop it. 10 bucks was cheap, looking at the expression on his face that he had to (or could) do something to fight it was priceless

Major Fights Ahead for Gun Owners in PA in 2008
For better or for worse the year ahead is virtually guaranteed to
focus
significant attention to the gun issue AND on law abiding citizen's
ownership of them. Philadelphia local authorities are dedicated to
challenging and violating PA Preemption Law by enacting their own gun
laws
in violation of it and thereby thumbing their noses at the legislature
and
law enforcement. The 'state' representatives from this area are also
focusing on limiting and abridging firearm ownership everywhere in this
state as a solution for their escapist philosophy in avoiding dealing
with
the human crisis in that area.
The above is but one of dozens of challenges ahead for gun owners
as
there are significant problems with the PA Instant Check System,
Concealed
Carry Permit issuance and renewal procedures in some counties, and many
more. The coalition of gun groups around the state also has a very
well
organized pro-gun legislative agenda that consists of over a dozen
worthy
bills spearheaded by the Castle Doctrine and Emergency Powers measures.
We
encourage everyone to review these challenges and donate some of your
time
to them.
Again, attached to this message is the Febraury/2008 FOAC e-newsletter.
