I'm just glad that I don't succumb to peer pressure. If I did I wouldn't have the supplies to load me up a heap of 9mm.

    Why?

    For times likes these!

    Or:

Because they can and want to.
    End of times types.
    Folks that shoot a lot.

    What's too much?

Your wife threatens to leave you over it.
Your not paying your regular bills.
You have lots but don't actually shoot.

    Just my two rounds worth.

Even then, at times like this, you could star in the reality TV show "Flip This Case."

You are tracking the decline of the dollar, not appreciation of bricks of 22lr.

As for how much is too much?

There's only two times you have too much ammo, when you're on fire or when you're swimming.

Ammo should be stored with maximum floor loading in mind.
Love this quote. Never really stocked, now seeing the fault in that... Also, looking at some classes, they want around say 600-1,000 rounds of ammo. So my mindset is changing from having a few boxes for the range to much more for the next class or two. And of course, swimming.

Since the 1970's I've managed to maintain approximately 1000 rds of each caliber I own, and consider that borderline excessive.

I consider that the minimum to have on hand, per firearm, to be considered ready for duty, so to speak.

If shit ever truly hits the fan, thats a extra firearm and 1k rounds i can put in a friend or neighbors hands if needed or barter off and not affect the rest of the munitions supply.
