I'm still adding to it every week. These numbers look ridiculous but you can never have enough ammo. As a matter of fact, I just put a bid up on GB for 650 rounds 45acp.
After almost 4 years of only buying handgun ammo in 50 and 100 round boxes, I find it harder to get the rifle ammo number close to the handgun amounts, given those 20 round boxes. Oh well, it will just take me a little longer. One box at a time...
    ...and they have a plan...

I think this is the primary reason that folks "stockpile" ammo these days. Back in 2008-2009, ammo shortages were ridiculous. Even IF you could find ammo, they were insanely priced which made it cost prohibitive to go shooting.

Like others have stated, you won't find better prices than you're seeing now and Walmart has increased their prices again.

My recommendation is to buy bulk and split the cost with friends.

You can never have enough ammo. I won't reiterate the points already pointed out, but there are some good deals to be had now, and it's always best to get it sooner rather than later.

I plan on picking up some .40 S&W at WalMart while its still $79.00 for 250 rounds.

See my sig below. I'm probably going to stock up thousands of additional rounds before Odummy gets re-elected so I can make a few bucks after the price skyrockets.
You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

If you compare the 7.62 ammo as it is today with the prices 3-4 years ago you will see that prices doubled on that particular kind of ammo. Like I said yesterday......I traded 6 cans (700rds each) for a bbq. These rounds were $79-$89 a tin 4 years ago but i looked on GB yesterday and the cheapest I can find is $169 a tin.

And don't get me started on the 44 ammo.......unreal.

I stock pile it when I get money because it's cheaper today than tomorrow, and it makes range trips a lot easier when I can just grab ammo and go. As it sits right now these are my numbers. I also reload for everything I shoot which also drops the price so when I do buy ammo its because I found a really good deal and it allows me to stock pile the brass.

    5.56- 2700
    9mm- 650
    .45 - 700
    5.7x28-950
    .40 - 550
    .38spcl - 100
    .44mag - 250
    7.62x51- 150
    7.62x54r- 850
    7.62x25- 1250
    12ga - 417
    .30-30 - 100
    8mm- 124
    7.7 Jap- 90
    .303 - 350
    .30-06 - 47
    .380 - 258
    10mm - 124
    .45LC - 137

Out of that I no longer have an 8mm, .30-06, .45LC, or .44mag so I'm probably gunna offload that ammo soon.

I wish fuel stored better I should have bought a ton of that when I started driving and it was around a $1.00 a gallon haha.

if you want to stockpile, reload.
the only number i'll refer to regarding my stash, is the 800 500mag bullets in the house, that's not counting the 300 currently loaded.
it's only metal, we can out think it....

It was lower than that at one point.

When I got into ComBloc sizes, 7.62x54R was a pain to find and about $1 a round (or more) when found -- Norma was the only maker. 7.62x39 was unavailable in bulk. I can't begin to tell you how old that got.

When the ammo market tanked in the 80s, I went apeshit. I bought '54R & '39 by the pallet. My kids are still burning the '39 from that era.
