Default dust cover for Wasr 10

I am having problems with the dust cover for my wasr 10. I am looking for a replacement dust cover. I have searched online and have found wasr 10 kits but just want the dust cover.

The closest thing I have found is a dust cover that fits Saiga 7.62 rifles. Does anyone know if the Saiga dust cover will fit a wasr 10 or know of any places that sell just the dust cover for a wasr 10.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Can I ask what kind of problem you are having?

Other than losing it or running it over with a truck, that's a pretty stout part to have break.

I will try to describe it the best that i can. I've put a couple of thousand rounds through the gun without a problem until today. I was firing it today when the front part of the dust cover came out of where it it suppose to fit snugly into the receiver. I took the dust cover off, checked it and everything seemed fine. I put it back on the gun and notice some play. Instead of fitting snugly it moved backwards the tiniest bit when I applied pressure. My friend had his Wasr with him and his dust cover was tight.

I took a couple of shots and the dust cover came out again. My buddy and I switched dust covers. Mine was loose on his gun and his was tight on my gun. It was perplexing. We finally realized that the back part of the dust cover right under where the button that is attached to the carrier spring was bowing inward a tiny bit. No idea why or how. I got a pair of pliers and bent that part of the dust carrier outward a bit and the dust cover fit snugly again.

Not sure what happened or how, but I want an extra dust cover in case it keeps happening. Sorry if this does not explain the problem well.

    Yep, OK, gotcha'.

Those things get bent up all the time, as long as the front is in its groove and the rear is snapped down in front of the little "lip" and the button is sticking out, you should be fine.

On an AK, a little tweaking with vise grips is sometimes in order.

I'd try it a few more times before sending away for a new one, you probably don't really need it.

    Just sayin'...
