    Cool Dream Saiga12???

I recently have come onto the chance to have a saiga12 built for me anyway I would like. I am going to be doing a trade of sorts from my business to another and have the chance to customize anyway I can possibly dream up.

The problem is there are so many different things I can do and it is overwhelming to say the least.

Anyone with a converted Saiga12 with pics or suggestions on what is good and what is not would be appreciated. I have never had a S12 but has been pretty high up on my list for a couple years.

I am pretty sure I want a folding stock on the rear, HK sights and one of those sweet assed pointy door breacher flash hiders but everything else in between I am undecided.

I have an S12 and love it. There are a few people here who have them and feel the same way! The best place for pictures, what works and doesn't, etc, is the Saiga 12 Forum. Not that PAFOA isn't a good place to ask, but that forum specializes in the various Saiga platforms.

Wow. That's a ... painful description. You're probably talking about the Tromix Shark Brake. If you google for that, you'll see pictures. There are other muzzle brakes out there that look similar, but that's usually the one people think of. There's a niche industry of vendors that have opened up around this platform, so there are many accessories to choose from.

I shall check over there and see what they might have for me to look at...

I couldn't think of what they were called so I pulled the most descriptive image from my head that I could

I'm pretty sure that is what i'm looking for...

They're great guns. I had one and loved it. I sold it moments before the bottom dropped out on the market. Mine was a little too custom but apparently it fit the needs of someone.

Edit: I suggest taking a look at the Chaos rails with extension and HK sites mounted. It's down right BAMF.

I was getting flashbacks to the infamous "barrel shroud" quote!

I'm pretty sure that is what i'm looking for...
That's the Tromix Shark Brake. There are others made by Chaos and other companies, but I think the Tromix unit is the one everyone thinks of first.

I really wish i would have had Tromix do a left-side charging handle to my S17 when Tony built it. I still went with the Galil charging handle, so you dont have to reach as far to charge the bolt.

Also, deff get the 3 or position gas plug. MD arms makes one as well as a few other companies. Well worth the money over the stock gas "adjustment" set-up.

The 20rd drums are a lot of fun, but tend to limit your reach to the fore end. At least on the short versions. The full size may be more comfortable.
This is with the MD Arms drums. I never bothered to try a Pro-mag drum, mainly to due to past experience with their products.

Very awesome setups you have there... What/who makes the folding stock you have on there? I dont want any plastic or polymer junk on whatever I get. Maybe even something with some sort of adjustable recoil buffer pad on the stock.

I am pretty sure I will probably just stand and dump drum after drum until my stress level is satisfied (I wonder if my Dragons breath will cycle?) So excited to finally have the chance to get one.

Yours is looking pretty close to what i'm looking for though. Minus the SBS barrel.

Get either the low brass kit or Tac-47 auto plug. I shot a 5 round mag of dragons breath and they all cycled.

That was my setup. I kind of miss her. She was a head turner. I wanted to put the Chaos rails on her, but it just wasn't in the budget at the time.

    Thanks
The entire build it a standard Tromix S17. I do believe Tony gets his stocks from Rich Lage at Lage Mfg. Is is pretty much the same stock that is on the MAX11 in the same photo. It is plastic/polymer but i have not had any issues with. Tony offers a recoil pad to add on, but i didnt think it was worth the extra money.

I have been wanting to stop by your tables and pick up some diff ammo to try but keep forgetting. If you are going to the Harrisburg show, stop by and check the S17 out, it will be there.
