Need more information on this gun...
I'm posting this for a friend. He has what looks to be a 9mm, possibly pre-WWII. I told him I would post it on here to see if we can't find more information about it. He found it in his father's gun safe way in the back. Not sure where it came from, but it comes with two clips and original leather holster.
The serial number is 81884U, all matching. There are eagles symbols on the one side of the gun; directly beneath these are swastika symbols. Gun is in decent condition, completely original, never re-finished. Any help you can provide would be fantastic!
Thanks!Last edited by bondser4; March 3rd, 2012 at 03:58 PM.

I don't know much about them or their history, but it appears to be a Belgium Browning Hi-power. Try researching them.

Re: Need more information on this gun...
Alright it's a Browning Hi-Power. But does anyone know how old the firearm is according to the serial number? And Swastika's on the gun.
Also, the value?

Re: Need more information on this gun...
Manufactured in Liege Belgium, they started in 35, but in 40 the plant was taken over by "ze germans". Should hold 13 rounds and was issued to wehmarchy and SS divisions. So, at the oldest 1940. As for value, hard to say. Good condition, all original. Looked around at a few for sale. Most are in the $700-1200 range. I'm sure those prices are a bit on the high side, and wouldn't be shocked to see one for around 500-600.
I'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.
