Default Should LEOS in NJ be able to carry firearms?

This is one of their eligibility questions on all of their forms to get a "permit" to possess a firearm on one's private property.

" Are you presently, or have you ever been a member of any organization which advocates or approves the commission of acts
of violence, either to overthrow the government of the United States or of this State, or to deny others of their rights under the
Constitution of either the United States or the State of New Jersey
    "

Clearly they would have to answer YES!

New Jersey's legislature would be more responsible for that than their police.

You go to the source of the problem.

You have a silent Republican in there when it comes to the 2a, did he even speak up about the various people who have been jailed for several years because of a lack of precision in reference the 56748 stipulations attached to the amendment?

I think the answer would be yes. The state dose not believe they are denying citizens their rights so the police are doing nothing wrong.
I don't want to see anyone defenseless, police or not.

He's not silent at all. I heard him say NJ's population density is too high to allow people to carry.

That dosen't make sense to me. Would that not make it a better reason to own a gun?

I grew up in Jersey. People have been saying, "The population density is too high" for just about everything gun related since at least the seventies. It's part of the culture now, nobody questions it. The Monkey Story.

But if no one has guns why would the police need guns? It's like that in the UK, right?

I think people stopped thinking for themselves all over the country. That in my oppinion is the root of a lot of problems today , along with people not taking responcibility for their actions.
