Default Police note carry permits in CAD

Twice today I heard vehicle stops get cleared with "add caution notes to the license that they carry a firearm with a valid permit". The notes come up anytime that license plate is pulled over going forward.

Sounds like another good reason not to inform. They just keep piling up! Where can I put all these good reasons?

Such a list would make for a fantastic sticky thread.

    this..

I have heard of several people informing the Police (when pulled over) that a firearm was present in the car. Even a friend of mine made that dumb mistake.

I'm always amused by the people who proudly display their LTCF in the ID window of their wallet. When I ask, I'm usually told so that if they get pulled over, the cop will know that he is "one of the good guys."

Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything that can be done to prevent this from happening.

Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I have licenses/permits from several states as well as home state. I don't carry any of them in my wallet, I carry all of them (along with my range membership card) is a separate ID case.

I carry my LTCF and Arizonia permit (I'm in and out of Ohio) burried in my wallet. My Utah stays at home as backup. We've all read about leo's wrongly taking license. I have informed in Ohio with on issues but would never inform in PA unless I think the leo will notice.

Their belief is that it will put the cop "at ease" when it is just as likely to make him yell "Gun!" to his partner, draw his pistol, and then order you to get out of your car and lie in the mud.

Of course, if you have a dog with you, he will then shoot it for "his safety."

If you are in Canada, you will be strip searched if your child is with you.

WHAT??? That's silly.... I always display my LTCF right on the front of my hat. For the convenience of LEO.
