    Default Px 4 Storm

Has anyone fired this pistol from Beretta? My sister in law caught a glimpse and wanted to know a little more about it. I believe its a 9mm but I'm really interested in how it fires.

I know they had it at SHOT Show, but I never got a chance to swing by that way.

I have a Px4 .40. I really like the feel of it and I get good accuracy from it. I always liked Berettas from carrying a 92F in the service. The Storm breaks down really easily and has light recoil for a .40 (I think it does, anyway). As far as firing, the action is slick and no jams/misfeeds yet (although I only have maybe 300 rounds through it). The .40 has a 14 round magazine and conceals fairly well.

I like the sound of a 14 round mag on a carry, hmm... Thanks for the range report, I'm still looking around but I love to hear people who have experience.

I had one in the pile I rented at Targetmaster when I was choosing a pistol... It was on the short-list for me because I had a Storm carbine at the time.

The gun shoots really nicely - the barrel design really absorbs recoil. One of the softest shooting nines I have felt.

That being said, the gun jammed up a LOT on me. It may be that it needed a desparate cleaning - being a range gun, but the rotating barrel assembly seemed to jam up on me.

I ended up moving past it because of that.

Also, it has a safety on the back of the slide - some people may want/demand that, some may not. Personal Choice there.

so the 9 has jamming issues you say?

I figured I'd check out GA, because I knew they were filming people at the SHOT and lucked out... I found the guy from beretta talking about it.

Still want to hear range reports though... nothing beats experience.

of course the gun sounds great after viewing the video.... but is there anyone else that can help out a skeptic with two different opinions so far?

The ONE nine that I rented at the range that coulda used a good cleaning had jamming issues.

It mighta been a fluke... it mighta been just that it was THAT dirty...

But it was enough to push me to look at other dirty guns that shot fine that day.

    I have a 9mm Px4 storm.
    Great firearm.
Haven't had any hicups with it,it's accurate and realiable.
With the storm it likes a tab of grease on the barrel lug,,it's a rotating barrel so that grease on the lug helps with the rotation.
Check out www.berettaforum.net for all the info in the world on thier firearms.
Enjoy if you pick one up,you won't be disappointed

I have a PX-4 in 40 S&W and it is a great gun. Never any problems and the recoil is the softest of any of my 40's.
