SIG MAUSER M2

I have a Sig Mauser M2 in .40 S&W. The eight digit SN is MC 005 XXX.

Using the SN, any idea when this pistol was shipped into the US???

What were the total number of pistols of all calibers (.40, .357 & .45) shipped into the US, and over what period of time???

I have contacted Sig in NH, Mauser USA in TX, and emailed Mauser-Sohn and Sig in the EU. None provided any help.

I think it is a unique pistol for one's collection.

Don't know by your serial number but the where announced on the cover of Handguns Magazine in 4/2001. I have the 45cal version which i couldn't be happier with.
