New to PA..
I just moved here from minnesota in july and I need a place to shoot. I am allowed to shoot .22 in the backyard but cops say no bigger =/. So I have a few other guns that have been collecting dust and I'd really love to get some use out of them. Where do you guys shoot?

Re: New to PA..
My husband and our neighbor go to an outdoor range down in Windber to shoot, right off the 56. I know there's a gun club in Johnstown, but I'm not sure where. I hope you find a place to play.

Re: New to PA..
I think there is a range in South Fork also ... you might want to PM Mtbkski on the forum, I believe he was going to (or did) join that range. Maybe he can give you details.
Duck and I are probably going to be interested in the info on Windber too as we're currently without a range. (and Windber is only about 10-12 miles away)

Re: New to PA..
I'm not quite sure how to become a member of the range but I know it's $15 annually and you can bring 1 guest everytime. I'll have to talk to my neighbor about it and see if I can get the name of the place to give ya'll directions.

Re: New to PA..
Dear J Peters,
I would recommend that you join the Cresson Sportsmans Club. For only $25 a year, cressonsportsmans offers a good shooting range as well as a large trout stocked dam. The club also offers a coyote hunt annually in March as well as a crow and groundhog hunts. If your a trap shooter, cs also has a team that is looking for good shots.

Re: New to PA..
I'd be broke if I could shoot .22 in the backyard.
Maybe with a Can from within the house nobody would know.
