Can anyone ID this pistol
Can anyone ID this pistol. This is NOT a toy and I'll give a hint it fires 9x19mm ammo and made out of cast aluminum. I have only seen 2 examples of this weapon in my 65 Plus years. The oracle is in. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill!!

"Deer Gun", a disposable weapon made for distribution in areas where we wanted bad people to die, but yet required plausible deniability. Time frame: Cold War, Viet Nam era. Was a replacement for the W.W.II "Liberator" pistol (details).
It's on Wiki, too ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deer_gunGloria: "65 percent of the people murdered in the last 10 years were killed by hand guns"
Archie Bunker: "would it make you feel better, little girl, if they was pushed outta windows?"

Re: Can anyone ID this pistol
Thanks for the education. I have seen an original Liberator and the newer replicas but never knew a post Liberator type weapon existed. You are never too old to learn something new to you, especially in the world of firearms.

Re: Can anyone ID this pistol
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

Thanks, it appears there's quite a bit of information about them on the 'net:

If you have one complete with the three "introductory" rounds and the case, it's worth over $20K, details:

Re: Can anyone ID this pistol
While we're on the subject of unusual guns, does anyone have any info about this one? Its a new version of the Liberator but beyond that its hard to find info on.
I can't find anything about it other than one page with not much info.
