Default Classic Firearms just got new SKS's in...

Small New Batch of Very High End
    Yugo SKS Rifles

This is a really nice batch of rifles. NRA excellent condition. Nice stocks, near 100% blue. Many look virtually unfired other than a few small dings or storage marks from the crates.
The only problem is there are not many of them. Only around 100 pieces total.
We expect them to go fast.
Made by Zastava in Serbia....7.62x39 caliber, Semi-Auto, 10 round box mag.
Extremely reliable and exceptionally accurate. Ammo is affordable and plentiful.
The perfect all round target/hunting/survival firearm.
    Item # YUGO-SKS-EX........$299.99

There was a boat load of good press on the SAMCO guns. Not as cheap as Classic.

Cheap? What do you mean? The importer doesn't really do anything with these. Not like AK's. Truthfully, the nicest SKS that I own is a Century.

Cheap as in less money/less expensive, not quality or anything. Which explains why SAMCO has had them for as long as they do.

Well, my collection says otherwise. The nicest I have is a Century import, then I have an I.O. import and then my Samco, in that order. Not to mention that my Samco import had a bad gas valve when I got it and had to be replaced.

I am not a fan of Century, but the batch of SKS's that they turned out recently have been some of the nicest around. When cleaned up they have about 98-100% metal finish and the stocks are equally nice.

Do you own a Samco import SKS or any from Classic Arms?

Well, like I said, my Samco is nice, but not as nice as the Century or the I.O. I think the biggest reason Samco has them is because they have their prices up to high. You can still get a nice Century in excellent, unissued condition for $100 cheaper. That's a lot when we're only talking about a $300 rifle.

I never bought an SKS from Classic, but other purchases I have made with them have shown their descriptions/reported conditions are accurate.

Me - I'm now down to a lone CHICOM spiker.

I had thought about adding a Yugo way back after the "first Yugo shortage" and the SKS forums had rave posts about the SAMCO guns and their supposed "under estimation" of condition making for pleasant surprises.
But again; SAMCO prices are at current gunshow prices in the SWPA area, +/- $40.00 or so.
