walmart experience the other night

i ran out to walmart in mt pocono to pick up some ammo for the next day. i ran out with no jacket so my gun was in the holster on my belt. btw i always carry owb...i walk into walmart forgetting i am OC....i never OC...i go to the ammo counter and i am leaning over pointing out what i want and there was a young girl there talking to the young guy behind the counter. she says i cant wait to get a gun and carry it, i think its so cool...so i say, how old are you and she says 18...i said a few more years. i noticed she keeps saying shit to the guy how hand guns are so cool...i was like ok, wtf....thats when i notice i wasnt CC...i was like shit...then i said to her, look honey you dont carry a gun to be cool you carry because you have the right to defend yourself...blah blah blah...she says back to me, its still cool. i got my stuff said goodnight and left.
i must say, i dont like the idea that kids think its just COOL to carry. next time i will cover up just for that reason. other then her, i dont remember anyone else even looking at me.

Yeah that's slightly disturbing. Not that guns aren't pretty cool--but carrying is for responsible self-defense. It's not for filling in the holes in your psyche.
