Hallston Gunsmith Butler/Slippery Rock
Just wanted to do a short post on my experience w/Hallston. Bought a S&W
2214 (used) at my local gunshop. (not Altra for those that read my positive review on them.) In short the pistol would not extract fired shell casings. Took it back to the gunshop & their so called gunsmith said it was fine & I had to use CCI minimags. Contacted S&W, they said it should function w/all 22lr ammo. I also have a S&W 2206 & it runs flawless w/ any ammo. So...
Thats when I took it to John @ Hallston. Great guy, awesome shop, fixed my pistol. He cleaned it up & tweaked the extractor (this is what I thought the problem was & the other "gunsmith" said it was'nt) Now it works perfect. John was kind enough to show me his shop & some of his projects. Amazing work!!!!
Thanks to John for doing quality work and charging a fair price. Those in the area needing a true gunsmith that will fix it right the first time look no further.
