Mag Issue?
So, whenever I leave my defense ammo in my carry gun for an extended amount of time, and I drop the mag, A bullet falls out...like it wiggles its way free from the mag. Anyone have an idea whats causing this, and how i might fix it, or where I can pick up a new magazine for a good price for a cz75 compact?
Oh, and I've never had any feed issues with the magazine that keeps doing this.

Re: Mag Issue?
Perfectly normal, Kahrs do this a lot, atleast mine does, my Tangfoglio witness a CZ copy do it also , just stick it back in.
If the Gun doesnt malfunction do not mess with anytghing.

Re: Mag Issue?
Both my Kahr's mag never lose mag spring tention. But I rotate mags monthly or so.
My CZ's mag also dont lose tention either, but I hardly ever keep it loaded more then month at time
Before you go out and buy a magazine, Try Wolff spring's +5% extra power spring. Cheaper then buying a magazine(I think they are like $8 each)Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Mag Issue?
thanks guys, im gonna try finding a spring for it to see if that helps. i bought it used and i know the guy carried it frequently and always had it loaded, so maybe the spring just lost some tension

Re: Mag Issue?
Mity, i dont think the OP is complaining about the mag tension.
Increased mag tension wont fix the problem , you might end up with more problems.
What is happening is that when you chamber a round on the way into the chamber the round beneath the chambered round is partially stripped.
When the mag is removed this partially stripped round sometimes fall out easily.
It doesn't affect the functioning of the firearm, in fact it happens frequently when shooting just that you dont notice it untill you remove the mag.

Re: Mag Issue?
Oh I thought OP meant that mag follower isn't pushing up the ammo or getting stuck or something like that.
My Springfild 9mm 1911's mag does that. Since mag demention is same as .45ACP, but 9mm is shorter overall length.
You only notice it if you remove mag with sime ammo left in itLast edited by Mity2; February 13th, 2012 at 12:49 AM.
