Default Semi auto DP-28 or RPD??

    Hello,
This is my first post, but I have been a frequent visitor to the site for years now. There is a great wealth of knowledge here, so I would like to ask a question about two rifles I have been looking at for some time now. Right now I'm down to semi auto versions of the RPD or DP-28. Does anyone have any experiences (good or bad) with either of these? I'm kinda leaning toward the dp-28 right now. I'm just looking for a fun rifle to take to the range and any info would be greatly appreciated.

The RPD is my unicorn ... its that one gun I totally have no use for I totally have to have before I die.

Check Youtube, IIRC, Sturmgewere did a review of his RPD - and he wasn't too happy. Still, at least you wouldn't be shooting corrosive thru it.

I'm not worried about corrosive ammo because I thoroughly clean my guns after every range visit. I have a case of Yugo 7.62x39 that I would use. I'm more curious about reliability and ease of maintenance. I'm sure both weapons aren't too complicated. A worry about the DP-28 is when 7.62x54r dries up and it would be expensive to shoot. Ugh...only if I could buy them both (I'm surprised that my wife will let me have one though)

Regardless of choice, either one would make a rockin display piece in the man-cave.
IIRC, the DP28 uses a 47rd pan-mag??, while the RPD has what, a 75-100rd steel belt?
