Default My First .45ACP, a Rock Island Armory 1911

Just picked this up today on a impulse buy. I've been wanting a 1911 really just for the sake of owning one. And well this thing had all i wanted for ~420$

Features, well its a basic combat pistol lol. But it does have Novak style sights and a extended beavertail. So all in all i'm happy

Will do! Everything i've read about them seems to indicate they are quality entry level 1911.

Check out this Torture test, one of the 1911's is the RIA...

not exactly a basic pistol. lowered ejection port?
sounds like pretty good price on a quality 1911.

Actually yes it has the lowered ejection port... I did fail to mention that.

Very nice. I have Novak sights on my M&P and really like them. Be sure to give us a range report!
