Default Picked up a "custom" Mark III today

It's the tits. Not exactly custom but haven't seen them anywhere, showed Chris from Elite Firearms an image of one and he was able to get one for me much cheaper than anything listed online.

Anybody know where they sell these, been looking all over online.

I picked up one of these via Davidson's last month. It's my first Ruger semi-auto 22 so getting it apart and putting it back together has been "fun" but I'm getting used to it. At first though I was thinking that I should have gotten the SR22 instead.

Took it to the range for the first time on Thursday and shot a 100 rounds of Mini Mags through it, it worked flawlessly. My only issue is that I have to pry the mag out, it doesn't pop out even a little bit when I press the mag release. On rimfirecentral.com they talk about bushings you can swap in to get rid of the magazine disconnect which should take care of that problem. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Do you plan on putting any attachments on it...honestly, underwhelming yet accurate.

Maybe a red dot at some point. Maybe a Burris Fast Fire II or the new model III coming out. You can get a dovetail mount that replaces the rear sight, so the red dot sits nice and low rather than being up high on the rail.

Are you ready for some grins and giggles? If yes, go to https://www.volquartsen.com/tags/15-...custom-pistols

And see what Volquartsen does to the MK III!

I just picked one of these up a two weeks ago. Put a Truglo 8360B red dot on it. Took it to range on Saturday, sighted it in and was amazing myself at its accuracy and ease of shooting. Put 500 rounds thru it with a couple misfeeds, and one FTE. I think if I cleaned it first perhaps some of the issues would not have been. Like 3rdchance, I had to pry magazine out a couple times. Overall very pleased. Cant wait to shoot it again!
