    Default Moved and LTCF question

Do I need to go get a new LTCF since I moved?

No. Your current LTCF is good for the original 5-year term unless sooner revoked for good cause, which doesn't include moving. You probably want to advise the issuing sheriff of your new address so he can send your renewal application to the correct address though.

Even though it isn't required, if you moved to a different county you can apply for one in your new county of residence and have 2 valid PA LTCF's.
If you don't know who your state legislators are go here:

put your zip plus 4 in the box in the upper right hand corner.

    This!

I recently informed my sheriff's office of my address change (moved 4 years ago),anyway its really simple. All they asked was if my drivers license had my new address on it, it does and I gave them the info and thats it.

I was told in Venango (as others have suggested), whether it be within the State or out of State (as long as there is reciprocity) only report change of address to issuing County should be considered and when license expires renew locally.

I don't know any reason why reciprocity in the moved-to state would make any difference.

Really, CCW in NJ and see what happens or Ohio for that matter, very different requirements from PA. Conversely, a State like Texas would readily accept a PA CCW

You'll face a minimum of 3-5 years in NJ...here are the rest
    Alabama
    California
    Connecticut
    Delaware
    Hawaii
    Illinois
    Kansas
    Minnesota
    Mississippi
    Nebraska
    Nevada
    New Jersey
    New Mexico
    New York
    Ohio
    Oregon
    Rhode Island

I would NEVER attempt to carry in a non-reciprocal state (like NJ or OH) based on having a PA LTCF as laws stand today.

But what does that have to do with whether or not you should notify the LTCF-issuing sheriff of your new address? You said (with emphasis in the original)

There is no reason that I can tell that having reciprocity with the state you moved to makes any difference whatsoever as far as reporting an address change to the issuing sheriff of the PA LTCF. State-of-residence reciprocity changes nothing about the LTCF you already hold.

Once you've moved out of PA, your LTCF becomes an out-of-state PA LTCF for the remainder of the original 5-year term of the license. That doesn't change depending on whether or not there's PA reciprocity in the state you moved to.

I really don't understand what you're trying to say is the reason for reporting or not-reporting an address change depending on reciprocity.

Any idea, if the state you move to doesn't issue carry permits would your LTCF still be good since it's a requirement for a non-resident?
