Did you go shooting today (Pic thread)

Took one of the granddaughters to the range on Saturday for the first time. She just went through Hunter Ed and is exited to go deer hunting this season.

Started off with the Marlin 25, then quickly progressed up through the Marlin 336, Ruger 77 .308. Remington 760 .25-06, AR 10.5” pistol. She’s a natural.

Guess which one made the biggest smile?

Now. That's just cool beans.

Beautiful day to get to the range - been too long. Took the Charter Arms gold 38, Glock 48, Sig M11A1, Sphinx and S&W 325pd.
Amazed at the Sphinx. First time I've shot or owned one. Super accurate, great feel, no issues. Charter Arms shot well, Glock - well, it's a glock - went bang every time and very accurate. Sig shot left, will have to get adjusted. And of course with the 45 airweight 325 pd I have some nice hammer bite that will need healing - lol.

I went 2 days in a row at my club ( PMSC ).

I wrote earlier that I had been gifted a Remington 700 in 7mm Mag.
I.did quite a bit of work for a friend and walked her puppy well over 100miles over the course of some time she couldn't do it.

I never asked for anything or even charged for material I had.

She offered me a choice of her deceased boyfriends rifles.
I chose the 7mm mag topped with a Leupold 3.5 x 10 variXlll

Another friend was selling ammo and had quite a few boxes of 7mm so I bought 4 in 175 and 150gr.

Cleaned the rifle, checked date code as 1974 and shot it.
Zeroed at 100 where the 150 Winchester seemed to do better.

It took a while to get used to.the very short light trigger pull and on the second day, I zeroed my pump 760 in 30.06 and ran the 7mm at 200 yards.

The 760 shot a 1 inch group and the 7mm shot a 1 1/4" group at 200 yards with older factory Remington 175 gr ammo.

I'm happy.

We went to Target World since they live out that way.

I never shot there but stop in when I'm in the area. They have a righteous rental selection there.

You should check it out. They remodeled the entire range a couple of years ago. All electronic with much better lighting. Although they had to remove the archery range for the gun range's HVAC system which forced me to move outdoors once French Creek closed down too.
