At the WSSA this evening shooting at the steel plates. I load 5 more rounds, lock the bolt, take aim and oh dear, a deer right in front of my target. I just sat and watched the deer and her two fawns slowly graze and make their way off the range. I see deer almost every time in the evening when I go to the range.

Shooting a 1915 M91. worked flawless for a 98 year old rifle.





The m44 is harder on the shoulder than the M91.

How do you like it up at WSSA? I'm currently looking for a club/range to join up at. I normally go to Hap Baker in Westminster but I'd prefer to stay in PA.

I had the same thing happen to me when I was there about 2 weeks ago even though I had already been there for an hour and shot 97 rounds they just decided to walk out on the range and see what was going on.

Tried out some 700 grain bullets out of my 500 S&W yesterday. They really shock the thumb bridge/inside of the palm.
