Shooting the 22ARC with the deadair can I love this rifle

I sold a couple deer rifles and pulled my Spanish FR8 out of the safe.
Given my diminishing eyesight, Im.looking to possibly mountba red dot or scout scope by having the front if the receiver drilled and tapped.

Still looking into that but I did load some nosler 150s for it and took it to my buddies farm.
The front sight is adjusted for both windage and elevation due to its elliptical design. The rear sight is fixed.

I didn't work up a load. I simply used the Nosler book which gave me a minimal.load yet most accurate load 4 grains below max.

The rifle is designed to shoot 7.62 NATO.
Anyway even with bad eyes, it didn't do too poorly at 100 yards.

My wife and I usually shoot once a week at our local indoor shooting range and have switched over to shooting .22lr. We usually shooting our Ruger MKII*s but today I wanted to sight in my S&W MP 15-22. Slapped a Bushnell TRS-25 on the rifle.

Given that the special regs areas I live in allow straight walled cartridge firearms and shotguns after the 26th, I was shooting my Ithaca M87 Deerslayer, my Henry .44 and my Redhawk in .44.

I read an interesting article about sighting in a slug gun at 50 yards and not 100 as I usually do.

Since i.put a different scope on the Ithaca I had to rezero.
I shot the Henry at 100 and the Redhawk offhand at 25.

Nice day to be out. Sunny and mid 30s.

I am not one for pics inside of ranges, but my 10yo son finally got some trigger time on a 10/22 for the first time ever. Previously he did some sessions with a Crosman air rifle. I had no doubts he'd be on paper, here's his first targets.

7 yards standing unsupported.



He was super excited and I'm feeling a bit proud too. Guess I'm a decent teacher. He's got a long way to go go (heck me too) but it's all on paper, good times.

They aren*t worth much if you just take pictures of them. Took my three 10.3” guns and my AP5-P. Short range trip and shot a total of 350 rnds, it was a good day.
