    Went to Greater Pitt today.
    Twas a hot one.

I just ran a few rifles.
I put new glass on my Rem 760 and my PA10 so tweaked those back into minute of deer targets.

The Bushnell scope I had moved to my National Ordnance 1903a3 broke so I got a Vortex lower end 4x12.
    I found a hundred 180 gr Sierra round nose so ran 3 loadings with A4350, H100V , IMR4350.
I had rounds loaded with 150GR Hornady Interlocks and 180 gr Hdy SSTs..
Looks like the150 Interlocks and 180 round nose using IMR4350 will work with both having sub 2 inch groups. I'll tweak these for the 1944 Remington barrel that's on this rifle. .
I used FA 36 brass which was neck sized. I lowered those charges by 10%. Forgot my chrony so no idea of velocity.
I may full length size them next time as I had an issue closing the bolt on a few rounds.

The Henry in .44 is not giving me consistent grouping with H110 and Hdy XTPS.⁰

They will all kill deer but I suppose I'd like more consistent groups. I might back.off the charges a bit to see if I get any better results.

The PA 10 with the SightMark Optic is heavy but I would like to shoot a deer with it if it becomes legal.

    I should shoot more.

    Pistol day at Greater Pitt.
I've been focusing on rifles for a while and decided to get a few pistols out for today's session.

    https://flic.kr/p/2nBXSQo

    Started at 10 yds.
Was shooting up some different 9mms, .40s, 357 Sigs, .38s

Not overly impressed with my results.
While on paper out to 50 yards, grouping was less than where I'd like it to be.

I went to 50 just to make myself concentrate more on my sight picture.

    https://flic.kr/p/2nBSQqc

A friend and her husband got their carry permits in Chicago.
She's shooting her dad's 70 YO 1911 and her husbands got a revolver.

I got no.info on makes models yet.

Their training requirement was 2 days.

Her 1911 piqued my interest so I got my Colt 1991A1 some range time along with glocks 17,19,20,23 and 32.
The kahr p9 covrrt and S&W model 66-2 all ran decently and everyone did ok on a TQ19 (?) at 50.

I ran about 250 rounds over 3 to 4 hours.

Found a brand new staple gun which I took to the office in case someone called about it.

I need to shoot more. I did no drills or presentations.
Just trigger control / reset / follow thru.and sight picture.
Quick follow up shots also didn't group ( at all) ha.

My intent was to do a series of short videos for them and my kiddos.
    Quick overview would be.
    4 safety rules.
    Stance.
    Grip
    Sight alignment
    Sight picture
    Tigger press/ reset/ follow thru.
    Loading/ unloading.

Presentation / malfuntion clearing etc etc would be down the road. Camera tripod was broke.

All in all, a good day to be out shooting.
Rained like hell 10 min after I was done.

Lol! Dead-eye, now we know why ya married her

Not today but last week…first trip with new rifle build. First time shooting a long gun in over a year and a half. Done with cheap red dot that was more like 3 dots when factoring in astigmatism/distortion in the dot

    Pic 1 @10yds after zero at 25, pic 2 @25yds. 10 shot groups.

Shot the p80 26 build too, and swapped the slide to the factory glock gen 4 grip. Shot better with factory lower than i did my own build. Havent shot pistol in 6 mo. 10 yds once again, iron sights

Been a while so couldn't resist taking a few that I haven't fired yet to the range. All performed perfectly with no issues and great accuracy/no fails on them all!
Stribog with suppressor - my first suppressor Shot Federal syntech coated 147gr rounds, M&P metal 9mm and Colt Lawman 357. A fun quick trip!
S&W felt really nice, well balanced, minimal recoil and as mentioned, spot on accuracy at around 25 feet.

Took daughter27 to my friends farm today.
She has a Ruger LCP and 9mm Shield.

I never liked the LCP but she shoots it quite well.
Given that, I got 2 boxes of Hornady critical defense and we went to see how they would group as opposed to the plinker ball ammo.

    https://flic.kr/p/2nTnJet
After running a couple mags at paper, we did some water jug expansion testing.

The picture left to right is .380 Hornady, 9mm Gold dot twice and .380 Hornady.

Top 9mm is from my Kahr P9 covert

    https://flic.kr/p/2nTnvxB

The 380 expanded better than I thought it would so I feel better that she will carry this.

We only shot at 7 yards and I ran a few rounds out of the Covert

Anytime she wants to shoot is a good time
