I had never sighted this Spanish FR8 in correctly.
I recently read that it had to be sighted at 30 meters using the 200 yard aperture.
I set up at 30 and fired shot #1.
Now, I use the FORS method to adjust irons (Front Opposite / Rear Same). However, The front sight on this FR8 is off center so it adjusts elevation as well as left to right POI.

After shot one, I over adjusted and actually went the wrong way, then progressively made adjustments to walk it in.

I couldnt get it perfect but can't really see the irons anymore either. I did get lucky a few times and hit a gong at 200

Damn, I went again today but to PMSC. I wanted to run some pistol and rifle in the same bay ( cant do that at Greater Pitt).

i Ran these guys. 7 1/2" Ruger Redhawk in .44. 6" New Model Backhawk in .41 ( gun bash win from PMSC ), and my 4" S&W model 66-2.

I also shot these brothers from a different mother.

I ran a dozen loads for the .357. Some factory, most reloads.

Uhh-h-h...what do the wooden pallets do?
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

They are there to support backer cardboard.
Not ideal and I made a suggestion to use chicken wire supported between a couple vertical posts.

Time will tell if they modify or change the stand backers.
I always take my own stands / wood supports and cardboard.

I prefer my PMSC club method but it's twice the travel time so I can deal with stapling cardboard to pallets

From the photo, I mistook the pallets for being above the projectile-stopping berm. Guess they are just stored up there?

Ok. I realized what pic you were looking at. This bay is at Pitcairin Monroeville club. I thought you were looking at t he long range at Greater Pitt.
I have to think they are up there to prevent splatter / maybe bullet frags from going over the berm. It's the only pistol bay that has them and the shotgun / trap field is over that berm and 25 ir 30 feet lower.

    I can't really think.they serve any purpose.

I just found out this range won its court case a little bit ago. It looks like going to be an awesome range.

I was there yesterday. It was magnum day.

Remington 7mm mag, Savage 111 in .300 winmag and Tikka T3x also in .300 wm.

I had quite a few different loadings for all 3 and shot up some stuff that was extra from trying bullet / powder combos.

I think I fired 77 rounds. Shoulder is a bit tender but doesn't look bruised.

Shot 100 through 300 and a few at the 400 yard steel.

    Good time.

I forgot my chrono but shot those up anyway.

7mm and Savage brass tumbling now.

    Tikka brass when that's done.

200 bullets came today for my .357.
    158 gr Hornadys.

I was in Tionesta till this morning.
Yesterday, I took a Bushnell 3x9 off my slug gun and put it on my Henry .44. I then took and old 4x bushnell and put it on the slug gun.

On my way home, I stopped at Greater Pitt and shot the .44 at 50 yards. Since I didn't have a small mirror to bore site it, I shot it for zero.

Got it on paper and moved to 100.

The bushnell was a gun bash scope mounted on my savage 111.

I just hD a bitch of a time adjusting it.
Small increments ( 4 clicks) did nothing and suddenly jumped 6 inches.

I always go beyond my point and drop back or tap the scope after adjustment.

I'm in the ballpark at 100 and the rains came.

I didn't haveva chrony or spotting scope.
    Next trip I will.

    https://www.flickr.com/gp/101828248@N08/932Ut0

Maximum point blank range is from 13 yards to 159 yards at an 8 inch target but I plugged the velocity at 1750 and BC at .175.( speer data).

I'm thinking there's a scope issue so might take a Leupold off my PA10 and put it on the Henry.

    I should shoot more.
