Re: Did you go shooting today (Pic thread)
I got out today. Wanted to go this weekend (hell, I wanna go every weekend) but really didnt plan on it, but when I woke up today and saw how nice it was, I couldnt not go shooting lol.
Put 100 rounds through my CZ-75, about 130 through my AR rifle, aaaand about 10 rounds through my new AR pistol build before I felt like something was wrong with it and put it away lol.
But it was only my 2nd time shooting the 16" AR out to 100 yards since I put the 1-6x optic on it, and I chewed up the center of it pretty good, so I was pretty proud of myself lol.

My daughter and I made the 1.5 hour drive to the farm. This was our first time doing live fire shooting/moving drills. My daughter shredded my IPSC steel target. She is turning into a shooting beast. I decided that we are going to make the long drive to the farm more often, as I can do anything I want in terms of training. My gun range doesn't allow shooting drills as many FUDD gun ranges do not allow you to do anything, but shoot.
If you have kids, make sure you take them out and so they can train and practice.

Wife and I got out to the range. Looks like we need to shoot more, it is a perishable skill. This is the first time for her since her shoulder replacement. No excuse for my shooting skills except old age and not shooting enough.

Holy crap. I fund a bunch of those Bin Laden targets rolled up in my basement. Local gun shop was giving them away back then.

My wife and I just got back from our trip out to PMSC. Perfect morning for a little range work. Group of officers from one of the local university departments were also out for a qual.
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Re: Did you go shooting today (Pic thread)
I sighted in a new Ruger Ranch in 7.62x39 using Wolf MC 124gr soft point. I thought the 5th shot on the 2nd group completely missed but my friend was watching through a 9 power scope and verified it was in there. I didn't get a shot to get it out to 100 but I am hoping I can Thursday if my kids can get their schooling done early.
I got it sighted in with 4 rounds the next 5 were all touching at 50 yards.
Just the backer.
I want to shoot at 50 yards again with the MC soft point in order to see if this is easily repeatable, as well as Golden Tiger, and the 124 gr S&B brass cased soft point I have.Join the GOA & save $5.00. https://www.gunowners.org/mac-subs-join-goa.htm

Re: Did you go shooting today (Pic thread)
I got a membership at Windsor Fish and Game on Monday, and went up today to shoot some. Put 200 rounds through my CZ75 and about 180 through my 16" AR. Got to shoot steel for the first time there and also got to shoot past 100 yards for the first time. Was a fun day (which happens to be my birthday lol). Did pretty good at 150 yards for never having shot that far, and managed to hit a steel plate that was laid against the berm at 200 yards a couple times.
Good day.
